Reading live news while you're on the move is simple with the India Finance Bazaar Live News SMS alerts service.

All you need to do is register your mobile number with us by loging into your account and subscribing to the service.

At present this service is free for all our readers. Between the hours of 1900 and 0900, you will not be distrubed unless there is an event of major significance. We estimate that you will receive about 5-10 messages per day, depending on events.

How do I sign up for the service?

Step 1

Log in to indiafinancebazaar.com

Step 2 - Confirm your mobile number:

In your account settings, goto 'Mobile Settings' tab and give your mobile number and click on 'Confirm Number'. You will receive a confirmation code via SMS in your mobile. Enter that confirmation code in the 'Mobile Settings' tab and click on 'Confirm Number' again.

Step 3 - Subscribe to SMS alert:

In your account settings, goto Notifications -> Content Type, then put a 'tick' for 'Live News', select your suitable 'Send Interval' and click 'Save'.

How do I unsubscribe from the service?

Log in to indiafinancebazaar.com. In your account settings, goto Notifications. In this tab, you can administer all your notification settings including cancelling this service completely.

Which phones can get the service?

All phones on Indian networks which can receive SMS texts should be able to use the service.

How many texts will I get per day?

This will depend on what's happening in the news - but on average you will receive about 5-10 messages a day.

What happens if my phone is switched off or in an area without a signal?

The mobile phone network will hold messages for a defined period and keep trying to send them. Depending on the network, this could be 24 hours or longer. Please check with your network for more details of their procedures.
