
Rupee appreciated against dollar on the back of persistent fund inflows in the local capital market. Further, the positive news from Greece had overshadowed the dollar demand in the overseas, which led euro to trade high during the Asian trading hours.
However the dollar demand from importers has limited the gains of nation’s currency. The six currencies price movement tracking dollar index was dipped on the interbank foreign exchange market after euro regained its position.
Rupee gained 23 paise to Rs.49.56 per dollar in the overseas market
