DoT sent license exit notice for 8 telecos

The Department of Telecom Ministry has sent license termination notice to eight telecom companies for not commencing operations.
 
As per the license conditions, the operators, who have received termination notice, are supposed to answer the ministry within 60 days from the day the operators received letters for not rolling out services at the right time.
 
The tele operators such as Aircel, TeleServices and Etisalat DB have not yet received notices for not rolling out the services within the time lines.
 
Some of the new players, who have received 2G license, were under investigations in 2G scandals.
